About Louisiana Energy and Economic Data
Louisiana Energy and Economic Data (LEED) is a data portal created pursuant to Louisiana Revised Statute 36:358, as amended by Act 727 of the 2024 Regular Legislative Session, which directs the Louisiana Office of Energy to work in cooperation with the LSU Center for Energy Studies to create and carry out a central, comprehensive, and unified energy data and information program.
LEED provides datasets covering Louisiana’s energy production, consumption, prices, revenue, employment, exports, infrastructure, reserves, and environmental metrics. All datasets are available in both CSV and JSON formats with multiple time frequencies (annual, monthly, quarterly) for maximum compatibility with various data analysis tools and applications.
